Saburo had explained his desire to be taught how to resonate thusly: "It's cool to hear you guys showing how in-sync you are like that." Between platoon-mates, after all, it was an expression of solidarity, to show that they were all on the same page.

Outside of a military context, it wasn't the same thing at all, but Kururu didn't mind that. If the kid wanted to learn, it wasn't a problem if he learned. Besides, Hinata Natsumi's efforts had been amusing, so listening to Saburo struggling for a while promised to be even more entertaining! Just because Kururu could more easily make fun of him for it.

He caught on just about as quickly, though, despite the fact that it wasn't an emergency situation and he was, frankly, a much more distractable person. Still, he seemed to put his mind to this, and while he tripped over his words at first the same way the girl had, soon it came a bit more smoothly -- not perfect, and he was running out of breath quickly, but he'd almost gotten it right after only half an hour!

"You're getting closer, but you shouldn't be exhaling so much to do it," Kururu advised, and Saburo's grin was bright but a bit sheepish.

"This is harder than it sounded!" he admitted. "How long did it take Natsumi-chan to do this?"

That was a slight surprise! "Ku ku ku! Only a minute or two of struggle. She has you beat, Saburo." They grinned. "So you talked to her about this; is that why you thought you could do it?"

"Nah. I mean, we did talk about it, but I was pretty sure I could do it before that. It made me even more curious about it, that's all. I was a little jealous!"

Kururu laughed again behind their hand, voice going mockingly kind. "I'll tell the Captain you want to court him too."

Saburo rolled lazily from where he'd been reclining, to stretch out on his stomach instead and pillow his chin in his crossed arms, grinning at Kururu. "Sorry to the sergeant, but he'll have to find true love elsewhere." He closed one eye in a wink, adding, "Please take care of me, Kururu~"

Mutsu mutsu mutsu mutsu mutsu...

As the kid went back to his attempted resonance, Kururu had to admit, he was getting better at it every time.
